Paul, Excellent review. Interesting and scary how right-wing politics in the US today parallel the rise of the Nazi party in Germany. Sarah Palin's name kept popping into my head as someone with not much to offer except as symbol and lightening rod for angry, reactionary conservatives.

I agree that is is alarming when a charismatic politician rises, but purely as a symbol and with little substance to offer, except anger.
